In the first week, we directed our focus towards:

• Meeting up as a team to divide up roles and schedule potential regular meeting times.
• Contacting our project advisor and client to set up a meeting date.
• Finding a platform to develop our product on.

Week 3 Summary

Dates: 9/20/16 - 9/25/16

During the third week:

• Discussed issue that Google Earth is Depreciated
• Discussed alternatives to model data
• CesiumJS
• ESRI

In the fifth week:

• Small Demo posted
• Example of 3D space for meeting with client & advisor
• ArcGIS will properly provide necessary functional requirements

In the seventh week, we directed our focus towards:

• Parsing data points to allow for plotting on the model in the 3D space.
• Working on being able to plot more data points.

In the ninth week, we directed our focus towards:

• Granted a new server for our team; installed ArcGIS Server onto this server.
• Worked on Design Document.

Week 11 Summary

Dates: 11/15/16 - 11/27/16

Closing on the eleventh week:

• Finish Project Plan Version 2.
• Finalized our demo
  • Successfully showed client a prototype placing climate change data on a 3D map space.
• Moving on to automation of the process.

Week 2 Summary

During the second week:

• We attended our first meeting with our advisor and client.
  • Bi-Weekly Meeting Set
    • Location: Dr. Wong's Office
    • Day: Every other Wednesday
    • Time: 10:00 AM - 10:50 AM
• Wrote details of project and implementation ideas.
• Look for an alternative for Google Earth.

Week 4 Summary

In the fourth week:

• Client wants ArcGIS for spatial mapping.
• Figuring out how get servers up and running for ArcGIS.
• "Demo" version running.

In the sixth week, we directed our focus towards:

• Live Demo to client.
• Project plan designed to help the client, advisor, and readers/users.

Week 8 Summary

Dates: 10/24/16 - 10/31/16

In the eighth week:

• Struggled with pushing work onto 3D plane, sought guidance
  from ArcGIS analysts here at ISU.
• Learned about ArcGIS Server instead of ArcGIS Online.
• Able to mobe from 2D points to 3D with ArcGIS Server.

In the tenth week, we directed our focus towards:

• Set up ArcGIS Server.
• Research ArcPy.
• Showed advisor and client example of map server and explain what
  the non-functional performance requirements are.

• Regrouped to plan out the course of action for the second semester.

During the third week:

• Discovery of a new tool released by ESRI to work with client-side rendering.
• Moved onto automation.
• Utilizing ArcPy to import parsed data into a geodatabase.

• Setup the GUI shell.

• Request for faster servers acquired.
• Testing utilizing new client-side Scene Services.
• Started work on GUI for Dr. Lu to avoid accidentally breaking the server-side scripts.

• Completed a core automation functionality and began integration with the daemon.
• Work on being able to dynamically load a REST URL based on user drop down selection.
