Project Details

Purpose

The Visual Earth Modeling System will allow the public, policy makers, and land managers to easily see, analyze, and understand spatial patterns of various gas compounds, water discharges, and nutrient movement. Allowing these stakeholders to further understand the environment will aid them in making decisions on topics such as pollution policy and land development.

Goals

In addition to helping our client bring her work to an interactive and 3D space:

• Create a platform which allows user to view monthly mappings of various compounds.
• Create a platform which allows users to forecast the effects of various compounds on the environment.
• Build a tool that helps decision makers and can be utilized as an informational learning tool across the world. Users will be able to visualize the ecosystem stresses caused by introducing compounds to the environment.
• Build a platform that can be further developed by anyone with software engineering knowledge.
